Nowadays, almost all ships are specially built according to individual requirements for installation of various components, engines, installations etc.Hvide Sande Skibssmedie has extensive experience in the building and outfitting of new ships, including

• installation of engines and gears
• plumbing installations
• production and installation of fuel systems
• production and installation of control systems
• production of conveyor belts from the ship
• installation of winches and drums
• production of bilging and wash-down systems etc.

One of our most exciting recent projects is the complete building and outfitting of the largest and most modern vessel for fish for everyday consumption in Denmark, the "Kingfisher", built by Vestværftet in Hvide Sande. The ship has its own fish factory on board, and we have installed the engine, gears, steering gear, water treatment system, fuel system, bilging and wash-down system etc.
